universities, entitled \u201cPresente y futuro de la regulaci\u00f3n de los Criptoactivos en la UE [Legalcripto]\u201d, Proyecto Prometeo 2023 (CIPROM\/2022\/26).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Its mission focuses on the analysis of the legal implications of Blockchain technology (TDR) and its impact on the financial system and payment systems. The profound transformation of this system requires appropriate regulation that guarantees its stability and places citizens and SMEs at the center of the digital market.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Without prejudice to the scope of this ambitious general objective, which is based on the European regulatory plan, LegalCripto also aims to address the new challenges of the digital era, which require the coordination and interaction of different regulatory frameworks, such as those relating to Artificial Intelligence (AI), the European Digital Identity and the European Digital Finance Strategy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LegalCripto&#8217;s specific research objectives focus both on the present, with the final approval of its legal framework, and on the near future, when it will make the leap to regulatory specialisation. Indeed, second versions of the Regulations on crypto-asset markets (MiCA) and on electronic identification and trust services in electronic transactions (eIDAS) are foreseen; third versions of the Directive on payment services and electronic money (PSD); as well as technical standards and second-level implementing legislation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, this difficult architecture includes the fit of a future digital euro and its impact on the rescaling and implementation of the
