The event “Considerations on the UNIDROIT Principles on Digital Assets and Private Law”, held on 6 and 7 March 2024 at the University of Alicante, was an enriching meeting that brought together leading experts in the field of digital assets and private law. Organised over two intensive days, the seminar took place in the Assembly Hall of the Germán Bernácer Building and in the Multipurpose Hall of the San Fernando University campus.

The event was directed by Carmen Pastor Sempere, director of LegalCripto, and David Morán Bovio, coordinator of the UNIDROIT Principles project. The seminar was attended by a wide range of legal and technology academics and practitioners, who offered detailed analyses of the nineteen principles developed by UNIDROIT, each contributing from their speciality to the deepening of the debate and understanding of digital assets in the legal context.

During the sessions, participants addressed the challenges and opportunities presented by digital assets from different perspectives, providing a unique platform for academic and practical discussion. In addition, links were provided for online streaming and online interventions, allowing a wider audience to join the deliberations.
