Professor Dr Jason Harris is Professor of Business Law at the University of Sydney Law School, University of Sydney, Australia (ranked among the top 20 law schools in the world by QS World University Rankings), and has been a visiting professor in Canada, England and the United States. Professor Harris is an expert in Commercial law, particularly Corporate, Insolvency, Banking and Finance law. He has published more than a dozen books, and more than 90 journal articles. His work has been cited in Australia and internationally, by case law, legislative committees, and academics. Professor Harris is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law, and is a past president of numerous professional and academic associations, most notably his role as Chair of the Academic Committee of the Banking and Financial Services Law Association. He is also on the editorial boards of numerous journals, including the Sydney Law Review (A* level – in the top 5% of law journals by the Australian Research Council and Australian Journal of Corporate Law (A level, in the top 20% of business law journals).

Filippo Zatti is Professor of Economic Law at the University of Florence, where he also coordinates the BABEL research unit. His research work focuses on the legal aspects of blockchain technology, concentrating especially on tokens and central bank digital currencies. Zatti participates as a lecturer in the National PhD in Blockchain & DLT and leads the local unit of the PRIN 2022 project, which explores the governance of the token economy with funding from the Italian Ministry of University and Research.

He recently collaborated with the Bank of Italy on Fintech Milano Hub 2022 and worked as legal advisor to the Italian Parliament’s bicameral Commission of Inquiry on the banking and financial system. He was also a visiting professor at the University of Edinburgh Law School. Zatti is an academic member of the European Banking Institute and an academic advisor to INATBA, as well as being involved in the UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies and a member of the European Law Institute.

Rosa Giovanna Barresi, LL.M. (FU), is a lawyer in corporate and financial law in Rome. She is an adjunct professor at the Laboratory on Crypto-assets of the School of Economics and Management, University of Florence and an associate member of the Babel Research Unit (Blockchains and Artificial Intelligence for Business, Economics and Law) at the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Florence, where she also lectured in the Economics and Law of Digital Assets (ELDA) course. He holds an LL.M. in Banking, Corporate Finance Law from Fordham University School of Law in New York (2005), where she worked at the international law firms Covington Burling LLP and Davis Polk Wardwell LLP.

She founded the “Amerigo for Law” a collaborative learning programme in US law for European lawyers and managers held in 2017, 2018, 2019 in New York City, Washington DC and Boston in collaboration with Fordham University School of Law; American University – Washington College of Law; Georgetown University – Institute of International Economic Law; Massachusetts Institute of Technology – Sloan School of Management.

She is an expert of the Digital Euro Association (DEA). Her research focuses on financial market infrastructures, with a particular focus on personal payment devices and central bank digital currencies. She lectured at many international conferences and has been a member of the DEA’s Digital Euro Association (DEA).

Professor of Commercial Law at the Universidad Pablo de Olavide of Seville. Her main lines of research are Banking Law and Digital Law. She has specialised in electronic means of payment, on-line advertising, tourist services and crypto-assets, areas in which she has made numerous contributions in the form of monographs, doctrinal articles and book chapters. She has been director, speaker, presenter and moderator of round tables at scientific events (conferences, seminars and congresses). She has been Co-Principal Researcher in a research project on Digital Law and researcher in several projects on New Technologies Law and Financial System Law. She has been a member of the Boards and Scientific Committees of national and international conferences and has participated in their organising committee. She has co-directed collective works and since 2022 she is Co-director of the Master’s Degree in New Technologies Law at the Universidad Pablo de Olavide of Seville, where she teaches the subject of Electronic Contracting in the Financial System.

Dr Zofia Bednarz has been an active member of the BAES group since its inception. Zofia holds a PhD in Law from the University of Malaga, and is currently a Lecturer in Business Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Sydney, Australia (among the top 20 law schools in the world according to QS World University Rankings). Zofia researches issues related to new technologies: Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Blockchain, and their use by financial institutions, with a special focus on their implications for the protection of consumers of financial services. On these topics, Zofia has published numerous articles in leading Spanish and Australian journals, and is co-editor of the forthcoming collective work Money, Power and AI: Automated Banks and Automated States to be published by Cambridge University Press.

Professor of the Department of Computer and Systems Informatics of the Universitat Politècnica de València, in its campus of Alcoi. With more than 25 years of teaching experience.
