LegalCripto’s main researcher, Carmen Pastor Sempere, met with businessmen and professionals from the Rotary Club Illice of Elche to present the LegalCripto project and explain how technology can help transform the business fabric and create new jobs of work, contributing to the economic and technological development of the Valencian Community.
Our main researcher thus had the opportunity to explain to the members of the Rotary Club Illice de Elche the main goal of LegalCripto: to analyze the legal implications of blockchain technology (TDR) and its impact on the financial system and the new economic-social order. , from the perspective of European regulation, such as the pioneering MiCA directive that offers for the first time a regulatory framework for cryptoassets.
He also outlined the group’s research objectives, including the taxonomy of regulated payment tokens and their operations; European regulations on cryptoassets, operations in cryptographic markets and the use of cryptoassets for traditional finance (TradFI); as well as the proofs of concept of the project: the first consisting of the implementation of the local and retail digital euro in rural municipalities of the Valencian Community, and the second, in the development of a sustainable finance platform ( SFi) that acts as a sustainable metaverse for small and medium-sized businesses.
